Ascites is a health problem which fluid collection within intraperitoneal region. Fluid will fill the space in the lining area of abdominal cavities.
If you feel your abdomen is bigger than usual, weight increase suddenly, difficult to breath if in laying down position, pain of abdomen, heartburn, bloating, lost of appetite, nausea and vomiting do not hesitate to see your Doctor and check with diagnostic radiography to ensure whether it’s ascites or other abnormalities.
The causes of Ascites as follows:
- Hepatic cirrhosis
- Heart failure
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Abdominal Abscess
- Bowel obstruction
- Malignancy ascites
- Peritonitis
- Pancreatitis
- Alcohol user
- Kidney failure
- Peritoneal carcinomatosis
- And so on.
